Team spirit is fantastic.

If we’d started the season with our current line-up I’m sure we’d be up there challenging for the title.

We had a bad start but there’s no real pressure on us at the moment and we’re all enjoying our racing. The team spirit is great and we’ve still got the cup and shield to go for.

We’ve been without Stefan (Andersson) for a while now at it seems there’s been a lot of guys going over lately, myself included, and speedway’s strange like that, all of a sudden there are injuries everywhere.

But hopefully we’ll be back to full strength for tonight’s clash at Poole.

We had a good meeting with the Pirates at the start of the month and were unfortunate not to pick up the bonus point.

At full strength we’re really a side to be reckoned with. Peter (Karlsson) is such a strong rider and has been pulling out all the stops lately and the two Aussies at reserve – Brett Woodifield and Nigel Sadler – have been doing their bit.

Sam (Tesar) does his thing, week in, week out, quietly going about his job, but is a good laugh too and David gets on well with everyone and we wish him all the best for the World Under 21 final in Poland this weekend.

It’ll be tough and he’ll learn a lot from it but with a bit of luck and hard work he’s capable of getting on the rostrum.
